Not many details yet, but it's sure to be a wonderful event, full of vibrant colour and energy!
Waterfoot Wakes launch
Update with more details:
It's a 20 min set indoors in the theatre (a dulcimer friendly environment).
Starting at 4.30.
It looks, at the moment, as though we only have Pawl dancing - so it will be a showcase of Lancashire / East Lancashire style dances, given the event theme.
So a potential set:
- Oswaldtwistle Jig (Morpeth Rant, I think?)
- Sam's Waltz (Shebeg and Shemore)
- Old Lancs A (Sansonnette)
- Sam's Jig or Reel (I'll speak with Pawl about this first and maybes do a practise run)
Cloggin' the light fandango!
Chester Folk Festival
This is a dance out with Chester City North West Morris and Bradshaw Mummers at Chester Folk Festival.
Day tickets are included - there's lots on; including singarounds, dancing and music!
2 spots: one at lunchtime at the Morris Dancer pub and one at teatime at the Farmers Arms.
And this will include the triumphant Oakenyouth, who are also planning a crawl in Chester on the Saturday :)
Easter Sunday Serenade With Lemonade And Various Swally From The Galley
This is a suggested get together and start of a tradition. Brass and Folk, and any other musical genre that fancies celebrating their craft, come along and chill out with a drink and a tune or two. Let's just see what happens...?
